This is the biggest painting I've done yet, but surprisingly finished in one six hour sitting. I could have spent ages on it, but it was one of those things that just happens quickly and before you know it, you're half way through and you may as well stay up a few more hours to finish.
It's of Andrew VanWyngarden of MGMT, and this particular picture is actually a frame from their music video, "Time To Pretend" [link] . You should watch it.
Because I was lazy and did not do an underpainting, the charcoal mixed with the paint which dirtied up the skin color nicely... I'm satisfied with the way his skin glows, among other little things. I don't know. I just like it.
